The European Digital Skills Awards 2026, celebrated during the Digital Skills EU Days in Brussels, recognised inspiring initiatives that are strengthening digital skills and resilience across Europe.
We had a conversation with HackShield (Future Cyber Heroes), winner of the Cybersecurity Skills category, to discover how they are helping children develop the skills and confidence to navigate the online world safely. Through an engaging cybersecurity game, HackShield trains young learners to become Cyber Agents who can protect themselves, their families and their communities while building awareness of digital risks and opportunities.
