Meta is improving performance with faster loading in Horizon Worlds, while Quest libraries are starting to show PCVR apps, hinting at smoother cross-platform integration. Meta is also expanding physically, opening a brand-new store in Los Angeles with pop-ups in New York and Las Vegas.

In content, Beat Saber gets a new TikTok hit track, and Quest 3 users can now watch the Avatar 3 trailer in 3D. Horizon’s Hyperscape demo also continues to wow with its crazy photorealistic scene capture.

On the hardware side, Samsung’s Android XR headset is reportedly launching on October 21, while OpenAI is considering making ChatGPT-powered smart glasses. Meanwhile, Pimax has once again delayed the Dream Air, though it’s now promising the widest micro-OLED FOV yet.
