Have a bunch of older Android phones lying around in a drawer? Don't throw them away just yet! Today we are taking an 8-year-old Xiaomi Mi 8—which originally launched back in 2018 with Android 8 Oreo—and entirely reviving it by installing crDroid to run Android 15 with the latest security patches.
I'll walk you through the entire process, including unlocking the bootloader, flashing the OrangeFox custom recovery, and using ADB to sideload the custom ROM and Google Apps (GAPPS).
