Thousands of people were forced to evacuate their homes over the weekend because of multiple fires burning near Okanagan Lake, British Columbia.
Vernon, B.C. has become a place for people to gather as they figure out next steps. The fire is now measured at more than 26 square kilometres in size after first being discovered on Friday and spreading rapidly over the weekend with winds reaching 115 kilometres an hour in some locations.
