EuroSort has partnered with LogiStar to optimize their operations with the Cross Tray Sorter, enhancing order fulfillment speed and accuracy. The warehouse features dedicated areas for the sorter, VAS, and end-of-line sorting, improving organization and safety. With two induction zones, the sorters handle up to 7,500 items per hour across over 100 chutes, efficiently processing orders for 250+ shops in Eastern Europe.
How does this work? Inbound products arrive at the warehouse, where they are sorted and organized for easy access. Orders are picked in shifts and brought to one of two induction areas. Items are then loaded onto conveyors, where induction operators scan and sort them. The range of items includes clothing, sports equipment, shoe boxes, and more. Once an item is removed, the empty box is returned for reuse. If an item fails to scan, it is rerouted for manual scanning by the operator. The sorter is fully controlled by SCADA and wave manager systems.
The Cross Tray Sorter efficiently sorts items both inside and outside, reducing the carbon footprint and optimizing warehouse floor space. Products are manually scanned into cartons using LogiStar’s scanners linked to the WMS. Once a carton reaches capacity, it’s moved to one of eight Value Added Services (VAS) areas for labeling and content listing. From there, full cartons are directed to the end-of-line sorter, sorted by carrier, and loaded onto pallets for shipping to customers.
EuroSort’s Cross Tray Sorters transform your warehouse into a more organized, efficient, and safe environment for both employees and orders.
