In a landmark moment for the European Union, there's been some decisions made about video games. Foremost, the EU recognizes games as art with cultural value. Secondly, they're deciding on a single market (aka together) approach against lootboxes. Furthermore, gold-farming and selling will be looked into due to the criminal money circulating in such circles.

Something not reported on in this short is also the further attempt by the EU to make steps against video game addiction (part of that is also gambling due to lootboxes). This will likely result in more measures such as hourly reminders to take a break and such.
