Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at these Timbren rear wheel BES disc brake pads. Now these pads have been designed to fit your 2015 to 2020 Ford F-150 with the electronic parking brake. And on custom fit parts such as these pads, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer. Pop in the year, make, and model of your vehicle and answer any other questions that it might have for you. And our fit guide will confirm if these pads will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you.
Also, speaking of the fit guide, I do wanna mention that we do sell these pads with incomplete kits that come with the rotors as well. So again, our fit guide will point you in the right direction if you want more than just the pads. Maybe you're looking for the rotors for your truck as well. Now, if you do a lot of towing, your factory brake pads can start to feel overwhelmed by the extra weight. These severe brake pads, severe duty brake pads rather, are designed specifically for trucks that tow, giving you stronger initial bite and a more responsive pedal so you feel more confident when you need to slow down.
Whether traffic suddenly comes to a stop or someone pulls out in front of you, these are going to provide better control during hard braking situations. They're built to handle the heat that comes with towing. The fade resistant friction material is going to maintain consistent braking performance through repeated stops. So your brakes are going to stay predictable even on long grades or in stop and go traffic. Because these are low metallic pads, they're going to naturally provide more stopping power, but they're also going to create more noise.
To help with that, these have premium multilayer vulcanized rubber shims that are going to help reduce the squeal without sacrificing brake performance. And on your screen there, I've got a photo there of an example of a shim there showing you what's all involved with the construction of that shim. Each pad is positive molded, so that's going to ensure consistent density and precise dimensions for even wear and reliable braking performance throughout the life of these pads. Installation is going to be pretty straightforward and the included bed end coating is going to help the pads give you that solid pedal feel right away, shortening the break in period. It includes everything that you see here.
