The Estate Car is great to have as it allows me to get around the property a lot easier. But right now its sick. Let's see if we can fix it!!!
The problem is the engine over revs when started. This started happening last August and I never had the time to look into it then so I just parked it in the garden shed. But I'll need it this spring and summer so I figured I better get off my duff and have a look see.
First off, I was pleasantly surprised that the battery still had a charge and was strong enough to start the engine. There was no battery tender on the battery all winter. It was just parked and left. And the battery was in fine shape today!!
But the engine when I started it, had the same fault as last summer. It would only run at high speed. In fact the RPM was why too high and I was afraid the engine would destroy itself if let to run for any time at all.
The engine is a a Kohler Courage 17 HP (model: SV530)
Have a look as I check into the problem and try to discover what is ailing my Estate Car!!
