Essence Energy Distinction has been quite the controversial topic these last couple years, one of the aspects of it that is not talked about enough is how the term itself developed particularly in the Christians themselves. I will be taking a look at how the term was used starting from Aristotle, to its major development in Christianity particularly in the epistles of St. Paul until St. Gregory Palamas' formulation of the doctrine, showing what exactly this uniquely Orthodox Christian Doctrine truly is.
