ESPN NFL 2K5 Franchise Giants Get Ladainian Tomlinson!
After a week 1 loss to the Eagles, and a broken knee-cap to Jeremy Shockey, I decided to look at the trading block, and L.T. was available! The Chargers wanted a corner, so I put together a package of Allen, Tiki Barber (who I wanted to get rid of anyway), and next years first round pick for the hall of fame running back. I did forget to change his number back to 21, so for this game only, he is number 25. Regardless, I might have given up a little too much for him considering they only wanted a CB rated 50 or higher, but I think the deal I offered them was somewhat realistic, and I'm very happy that I got him. Now the pressure is on me to put together a decent line and other weapons on offense as Eli develops so this talent doesn't go to waste.
In the meantime, we have the Redskins to play! Now this was an interesting matchup, because I originally thought about doing a Redskins franchise on 2k5 with Sean Taylor instead of Madden 08, so it was good to see this team. Eli looked much more comfortable, and Tomilson played very consistent, but the star of the game was the Giants defense who dominated the Redskins.
Overall, I've never been this excited for a franchise before, and I can't wait to play more games. This is the best football game I've ever played. I try to include as much of the presentation as possible, and that's why these videos are quite long. If you don't like them, let me know and I'll cut out some of those features.
