This is just a quick video to showcase the new Aegis Caller set coming in the Harrowstorm DLC.
Honestly, this might be my new favourite set. I'm not even talking about the performance of the set (it is very good), but the aesthetics are so cool.
It feels pretty satisfying to cast Whirling Blades whilst at the same time seeing our little friend twirl around, helping us out. If only I chose a Stamina Sorcerer here, adding Hurricane into the mix would've been even better.
Damage-wise, the 5pc bonus is more or less right up there with Relequen. The upside is that it is an AOE proc. The downside looks to be once it spawns, it stays still, so may not be the best for fights with constant movement. The 2-4 set bonuses are weaker than that of Relequen and Lokkestiiz in terms of pure power, due to it having a Stamina Recovery set bonus.
More info here. As it is a PTS set, things are subject to change: eso-sets.com/set/aegis-caller
This won't be the last we hear from this set. Really hope that it gets through to the full release without any hitches!
I'm not going to say anything about the Stamina Necromancer build here since I just randomly picked my favourite raid setup (no rapid strikes or wrecking blow lol), and the focus is on the new set. As usual, I will try to answer any questions though.

![Retribution? - Stamina Templar PVE (90k+) - Dragonhold - ESO
This is a Stamina Templar PVE build and Iron Atronach Parse for the Dragonhold patch.
The Stamina Templar has seen some significant improvements since the release of Scalebreaker. The main one is the long-awaited fix for Power of the Light, which can also now deal Critical Damage. Ritual of Retribution is also a pretty strong Magicka-costing AOE skill, which gives a heal and deals very useful damage. The Stamina Templar in Dragonhold is a bit of an AOE Machine as a result, to go with its competitive Single Target DPS.
This parse was performed by @Panaa, who raids with Stress Tested on PC EU.
Link to @Panaas YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQjHljzdJKq2wMP5lwmhgmA
We are using the Max Stamina/Stamina Regen food, with 64 points into Stamina for all Stamina Setups in these rotations.
Gear used here:
5x Lokkestiiz, 5x Relequen, 2x Selene. (See build screenshot for full details).
The above is used simply for purposes of comparison against other classes, in this test environment.
Race used: Orc
Alternatives (none quite as good): Dunmer, Woodelf, Redguard, Khajiit
In real raid situations, consider Artaeum Takeaway Broth or Max HP Max Stam as food alternatives.
Other gear that is perfectly suitable for different situations/builds include:
Deadly Strikes, Leviathan, Tzogvin, Advancing Yokeda, Velidreth, Maarselok

Rotation (Courtesy of @Panaa)
To summarise:
Start:
Hail - Trap - Ritual - Balista
Jabs - POTL - Jabs x5 - POTL
Repeat:
Hail - Ritual
Jabs x2 - POTL - Jabs x5 - POTL
Replace a cast of Jabs with Barbed Trap or Dawnbreaker whenever you need to cast them.
Remember now that for each POTL cast, the Minor Fracture debuff lasts 9 seconds, so there is no need to worry about being perfect on the recasting of this skill. Just do make sure to let it explode before recasting it!
The vMA Bow is in use here. There is no real benefit in casting Poison Injection in the first place here since we want to be spending as much time as possible casting Jabs for the subsequent Burning Light procs. This pretty much means that Masters Bow is out of the question. If you did want to play with Poison Injection and Masters Bow, it is still possible, but its really not worth the effort.
2x Daggers with this setup may well be more effective than 1x Dagger, 1x Axe. This type of rotation doesnt give too many chances to proc the axe bleed. Someone help @Panaa farm that second dagger!
Selene is an effective Monster Set on Stamplar, but Maarselok, with Bashing, is a fine alternative, and so is Velidreth.
Deadly Strikes will be a really good alternative for Lokkestiiz, and also Relequen in fights, where keeping those stacks up are not so easy.
Dawnbreaker, when used, gives 300 weapon damage bonus before modifiers for a respectable 20 seconds, so using this ultimate on Stamplar looks to be pretty competitive.
About alternative skills that were not used in this video:
Consuming Trap - costs Magicka, so using this can be a boost to Stamina Sustain. If this is applied to an enemy who dies, you will also get a very generous resource return too. Nice for trash fights or boss fights with smaller mobs. However, Stamina sustain on Stamplar is already pretty good, and it is not necessarily a DPS gain, but might be useful in fights where channelled abilities dont do well, e.g. when a lot of blocking is needed.
Restoring Focus - A great utility skill. Gives a huge amount of resistances (Major Resistances plus a 50% bonus when standing inside the Rune). 240 Stamina is recovered every second after it is cast too, which is very useful for Stamina sustain.
Poison Injection - feels super weird having to putting this skill here in this section on a Stamina PVE Build. Might be useful to have on the back bar instead of one of the Fighters Guild skills, if you need some added range on certain fights. Still a pretty strong ability in execute.
Whirling Blades - a spammable/execute that is very useful when a dual-wield AOE setup is desired. Not recommended for pure use in Single Target execution though.
Empowering Sweep - a pretty decent, low-costing Ultimate. Excels when multiple enemies are hit, so great in AOE fights.
Vigor / Ring of Preservation (back-barred) - for extra self-heals if needed. I would recommend replacing one of the back bar Fighters Guild abilities.
Rending Slashes - if you want to add some true DOT damage, then you could slot this on your front bar. Not necessarily a DPS gain, but might be useful in fights where channelled abilities dont do well, e.g. when a lot of blocking is needed.

![ESO - Magicka Necromancer PVE Build (97k+) - Scalebreaker
This is a Magicka Necromancer PVE build and Iron Atronach Parse for the Scalebreaker patch.
Edit 1: Updated the static rotation. Thanks, Sparrow (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0mpHS3g86Q7neyRNtnsF7g) for showing me how to write a more readable one lol
There have been loads of changes across the board for combat in ESO. I would recommend you to read the relevant patch notes.
Skills that are useful for Magicka DPS that previously were not:
- Degeneration
- Destructive Reach
- Scalding Rune
- Consuming Trap (Single Target) or Soul Splitting Trap (Cleave)
- Mystic Orb
I am using the Max Magicka/Magicka Regen food, with 64 points into Magicka for all Magicka Setups in these rotations. This is simply for comparison purposes in this test environment.
Gear used here:
5x Mothers Sorrow Body, 5x Siroria front-barred, 2x Zaan. (See build screenshot for full details).
Other gear that is perfectly suitable for different situations include:
False God, Spell Strategist, Elemental Succession, Burning Spellweave, Necropotence

Rotation
One of the first things youll notice is that I do not use a pure spammable. In this setup, we have 3 hybrid-spammables. These are: Stalking Blastbones, Scalding Rune and Unstable Wall of Elements.
The reason is that these 3 skills have good direct damage. There is no set priority on which hybrid-spammable needs to be used. Here are some suggestions: If Unstable Wall is close to expiring, feel free to recast this early. Every time you recast, you will receive the burst damage. If Stalking Blastones is ready, and there is nothing else to recast, use this. If Scalding Rune is close to expiring, or if Stalking Blastbones is already in action, cast this. It also provides empowerment to your next light attack which is a welcome bonus.
This means we are departing from the Cast Blastbones 1-in-3 skills rotation, which is great news if you are playing as a more ranged DD since this wont affect you as much anymore. The fact is, one cast of any of these DOTs is worth more damage than one cast of Blastbones over a full duration. This highlights why Scalding Rune is so useful, because the initial damage plus only 2 ticks are worth roughly the same as one Blastbones cast, plus you are rewarded with a few more ticks if you leave it for longer! However, a gentle reminder that Blastbones provides a corpse upon explosion, which is important to Avid Boneyards bonus damage and Mystic Siphons availability.
Other than this, it really is a job of refreshing your DOTs as they run out. Its difficult to offer exact priorities, but for the Magicka Necromancer, I suppose Unstable Wall is most important since the vMA Staff Bonus is entirely dependant on it. Skeletal Mage would be pretty high up, as your bonus sustain and penetration passives are tied to it. Degeneration also offers a really nice sustain passive, so possibly this next, if not then Barbed Trap for the Minor Force. Again, Mystic Siphon also offers a sustain passive. Then it really doesnt matter between Soul Trap, Mystic Orb, Destrictuve Reach and Avid Boneyard.
If you need a shield, then simply replace one of your DOTs.
I would say that this rotation, like all Magicka DD rotations in Scalebreaker, is pretty chaotic and can be a pretty tough learning curve, so keep at it.
Proposed Static Rotation (Should actually be good lol):
Start:
Archer - Barbed Trap
Then:
Blastbones - Wall - Rune - Degeneration - Siphon - Consuming Trap
Blastbones - Wall - Reach - Boneyard - (Archer - Barbed Trap in every other rotation)
Or... to keep it really simple you could just try casting all 5 front bar skills, then all 5 back bar skills, then repeat, which would be a decent starting point I guess. Activate the Glacial Colossus whenever required.
Thanks for reading. Any questions or remarks, do let me know in the comments section!

![ESO - Magicka Templar Rotation (63k+ on 6mil) - See Description - Murkmire
Edit 22nd October - Here is my showcase of a Magicka Templar rotation, up to date for for the Murkmire patch (recorded in PTS 4.2.2).
Which buffs/debuffs am I including and why? - In this parse, I have Minor Vulnerability, Combat Prayer, Elemental Drain, Off-balanced and Orbs present. As a Magicka Templar, I have my own source of Minor Sorcery. This is to enable me to compare as fairly possible with other Magicka classes. Please see this text for the reasoning behind the buffs that are used here: https://textuploader.com/dv8g2
The DPS of this class should only be compared to other Magicka classes in my recent videos - and NOT the Stamina classes.
Thanks @stileanima for being patient with me on Magicka Templar. Blazing Spear literally doesnt cast 1-in-5 times unless I massively delay my light attack on the PTS server as you see in the video :( - her youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0ZrF6282tJGZboWa2IwCHg
Sustain on a Magicka Templar is pretty good. You can see here that I am using Max Magicka Max Health food combined with Spell Symmetry because I find it gives better DPS. Using Clockwork/Witchmothers without Spell Symmetry is perfectly fine if you keep up Channeled Focus somewhat if you prefer that option.

Rotation
The rotation I have shown here is honestly very simple. The priority is to cast Shards, with a bar swap to cast Elemental Blockade every 8 seconds because both of these are incredibly strong. This leaves 6 seconds every rotation to cast 1 purifying light (you dont really have to think about exactly when as long as youre not overcasting) and a bunch of Elemental Weapons. Vampires Bane and Rearming Trap can be cast every 2 in 3 off cooldown, with 1 in ~3 for Channeled Focus.
In execute, keep up Shards and Blockade and use Radiant Oppression the rest of the way. Ive tried executing with this rotation from 30, 25 and 20%, but due to how Radiant Oppression scales, it might still be worth keeping up other buffs up until 20% - kinda inconclusive and you could do it, either way, to be honest.
Regarding usage of Ultimate, Using Destro Ultimate on cooldown is a strong option. This is what I am doing here. Crescent Sweep is now actually a pretty good viable option so you can expect similar results casting this on cooldown too - possibly more burning light procs and free casts so better sustain. Master Architect probably looks decent on a Magplar now too.
I will note though, that I havent shown the other ranged rotation that I am using on Magicka Templar, which is more engaging and efficient than the one shown here. For how simple the rotation in this video is, tied with its effectiveness, I will probably just show the other one later.
Regarding a Melee Magplar build with Sweeps, I had looked into it, but I feel it doesnt match up damage-wise so I didnt bother since ranged gameplay is more versatile anyway (could definitely be l2p on my side though).
Changes made to Templar which could affect this rotation in PTS 4.2.2:
- Radial Sweep
- Fixed an issue where the Empowering Sweep and Crescent Sweep morphs were checking against the incorrect resistance type.
PTS 4.2.1:
- Radial Sweep
- Crescent Sweep (morph): This morph now applies the frontal cone damage bonus to the initial hit and all subsequent ticks (was previously the initial hit only), but the damage bonus has been reduced to a 60% bonus from 66%.
PTS 4.2.0:
- Radial Sweep - Crescent Sweep (morph): This morph now deals Magic Damage instead of Physical Damage.
- Spear Shards: Increased the damage done by this ability and the Luminous Shards morph by approximately 67%.
- Blazing Spear (morph): Increased the damage done from this ability by approximately 60%.
- Spear Wall: This ability now grants you Minor Protection for 1.5/3 seconds after activating an Aedric Spear ability.
- Backlash: Increased the cost of this ability and its morphs by approximately 5%.
- Radiant Destruction: Decreased the channel time for this ability and its morphs to 1.8 seconds from 2.8 seconds; the damage done has been decreased by approximately 15% and cost by approximately 35%. The total damage per second and cost per second should remain relatively unchanged.

A fun raid where we also managed to get a 114,627 score, 10 minutes previous to this one. This time I tried my best to die when I mis-clicked and got stuck in the Character Info screen with Storm and double Felms bomb approaching.
