Escalante River Wildlife:
These clips were captured during a section hike of the Hayduke Trail in April 2018 in Southern Utah. Section 6 of the HDT starts at Lower Muley Twist Canyon Trailhead off of the Burr Trail Road Switchbacks in Capital Reef National Park and ends at Hurricane Wash Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. Red Slide, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Moody Canyon, ~28 miles of the Escalante River and Coyote Gulch are all features of this section. Scorpions, predator birds and a variety of reptiles served to spice up this solo adventure. Special thanks to Escape Goats for help with shuttle logistics:
