Atheist popularizer Aron Ra finds much comfort in biological evolution as a support for his views. However, many of his videos promote outdated, overly simplistic, or simply false information regarding the theory of evolution. Here to help set the record straight is Seth Hart, PhD candidate in science and religion at Durham University. Seth specializes in the history, development, and philosophy of evolutionary theory and whose supervisors have included both theologians and biologists. His prior graduate work at Oxford focused on the use of functionality and optimality in evolutionary models. While Seth is sympathetic to evolutionary theory, he agrees that Aron Ra’s channel has become a site of misinformation regarding evolutionary theory and its implications.
