I built a few water bars using treated 4x4s to help control water runoff and prevent erosion on our property. During heavy rain, water runs down the driveway and off the patio, washing away soil under the large fir trees.
After finishing the project, we had a good rain, and the water bars worked pretty well. I’ll need to add one or two more, but it’s already helping.
