One of a few Erol's Internet Commercials that aired during the mid-nineties. Erol's was big in the early eighties with the VCR movie rental craze taking off. Before Blockbuster they were one of the leaders in the Videotape movie habit of the eighties so much that when Blockbuster came calling Erol's sold out to the tune of $30 million. They used that money to create computer repair and ISPs and thus Erol's Internet was born. Admittedly the price for unlimited internet was pretty good. What wasn't that great about the service was that it ran on Netscape Browser which at the time was one of the leading browsers but became obsolete rather quickly. Unfortunately Erol's faded in the wake of the cable and DSL internet wars as they were only able to provide dial-up and it's name was replaced by RCN which rebranded the service under it's "Starpower" name.
