Electronic Arts created the "Strike" Series of games for multiple systems in 1991 starting with Desert Strike: Return To The Gulf. In 1996 They created Soviet Strike and not only was it the beginning of the Strike series going 3D but it was only put out for two systems of the times. The SEGA Saturn and the Sony Playstation. Interesting as the two systems were in direct competiton. This would be the second to last game in the series with the final game being Nuclear Strike. There was to be a final title called Future Strike, involving Mech combat. That title was scrapped and all development retooled into what became FutureCop: L.A.P.D..
