Picked up an iBook G4 with a bad keyboard for $20 last weekend. I tried swapping a G3 keyboard and it worked! That is until I tried to lock it down. Apple, in their infinite wisdom, made this otherwise compatible keyboard with too short of a cable. I briefly considered de-laminating the G3 keyboard to replace the cable or "soldering" an extension. Nah.

@GarthBeagle to the rescue (like and subscribe). He had a parts laptop sitting around and set me his keyboard. Let's see if it works.
