Correction: This unit does not run external HDMI and the microscope screen at the same time. If you plug it into HDMI or the PC via USB, the microscope built in screen goes dark.
I think I confused this unit with the "USB" unit with the same model number which a reviewer indicated demonstrated a dual screen mode. I've asked for more information to get it sorted out. Links to models are provided below.

Well, it appears that none of the 5" screen Andonstar digital microscopes support simultaneous output with the built in screen. However, the 7" models do (per the seller).
