Welcome to Hospitalization for Severe Eating Disorders at Denver Health's ACUTE Center For Eating Disorders
Eating Recovery Center partners with Denver Health's ACUTE Center For Eating Disorders to provide life-saving medical stabilization for critically ill patients suffering from severe eating disorders like anorexia or bulimia.
Patients receive highly individualized treatment plans that alleviate medical complications associated with eating disorders, and prepare them for transition into an inpatient or residential program.
Around-the-clock technology advanced, critical care is delivered by specially trained nurses and board certified internal medicine physicians. Registered dietitians work with each patient to develop individualized meal plans. Daily psychotherapy sessions and consultations with the psychiatrist are administered.
As a quiet and peaceful environment for resting and healing patients are given private rooms with flat-screen televisions, wireless internet access, and private bathrooms. The ACUTE facility is located conveniently near downtown Denver and is in close proximity to hotels for visiting family members and loved ones.
If you or someone you know is struggling with an eating disorder or a mood and anxiety disorder please call us at 877-736-2140 or visit our website at eatingrecoverycenter.com

There are many lives and many paths to healing. I knew that I had found my path when I was able to fully accept and embrace all of myself and who I am as an individual.
Hi, my name is Shay, and I’m a Recovery Ambassador Council member for ERC and Pathlight.
Self-acceptance is not always an easy topic. Accepting the parts of myself that I was comfortable with in the beginning was easy. Accepting the parts of myself that I was not comfortable with, that was much harder, and that was the work of recovery for me.
My hope for all of you this Eating Recovery Day, is that you can find self-acceptance and be able to embrace your whole self whatever that means for you and live your most authentic life.
About Recovery Day:
On Recovery Day we celebrate the hard work of seeking recovery & mental health. Recovery Day’s theme, “Many Lives, Many Paths to Healing” allows each of us to celebrate where we are on our own mental health journey. Some of our paths feel barricaded by trees and roots, while others of us see more clear trail markers to our destination. And yet here we are to celebrate another year. The path of you. The path of me. The courage that it has taken to continue on this journey and those who have supported the path to recovery along the way. There are many lives and paths to healing. My journey to healing allowed me to help create a community so that no one has to heal alone.
Hi y’all, my name is Niki, and I’m an alumni family liaison for Eating Recovery Center and Pathlight Mood and Anxiety.
