French falls is a 425 foot, amazingly cinematic waterfall on the edge of Nahmint Mountain on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. It's the largest of a huge line of waterfalls that reach almost from the peak.

As beautiful as it is, it's a pretty major ordeal getting there as there are no trails. It took dozens of hours of surveying maps, pouring over drone footage (from flying the mountain peak!) and research to figure out how to get there. After a 4 hour drive, including an hour on logging roads, we first had to bushwack with a machete through some of the densest forest in Canada. Then, we had to cross a fairly large river with waist-high water (thanks to our chest waders), then climb a huge old riverbed with massive boulders. But was it ever worth it! Oh, and thanks to conformal coating :)
