The England cricket team practiced without the dropped Brydon Carse on Tuesday after the bowler was involved in an incident in the early hours of Sunday at a Derby nightclub.
It was announced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Monday that the 31-year-old pacer had been omitted from the squad for the second Test against Pakistan starting at Lord's on Thursday.
Images published on social media showed Carse in handcuffs after he was arrested by police.
He was de-arrested soon after and released.
Carse, who is a centrally contracted player, was not on England duty at the time of the incident.
He was released to play for his county, Durham and after they beat Derbyshire in Division Two of the Championship on Saturday, the players - including former England captain Ben Stokes - went out to celebrate.
