FlocBot is an in-process system that helps water treatment plants reduce chemical usage. The team is comprised of 13 engineers, spanning across different disciplines. The two team leaders plan to start installing their system into water treatment plants after graduation.

“Our goal is to allow water treatment plants and local governments to produce cleaner, more reliable drinking water while minimizing the environmental impact and saving taxpayer dollars,” said Kates, a civil engineering senior from Colorado Springs.
