During the shipyard's interior structural survey we found this graffiti in a crawl space of the aft engine room. A TINY TINY crawl space that has likely gone unvisited since KIDD's time in service. After searching the crew roster, we found a man named Frank R. Tuss, a Cold War crew member aboard KIDD.
Thanks to the help of Tin Can Sailors, Inc., The National Association of Destroyer Veterans we got a call from Mr. Tuss and he told us the whole story. After which, he graciously agreed to share his story with you all.
