The Enfield VS1 single cylinder air cooled diesel stationary engine has featured on this channel a few times before, but it's always nice to have an excuse to give it a run so I thought I'd do a "how to" video, showing how to start the Enfield VS1 (or at least how I start the Enfield VS1) in cold weather.

My engine was made somewhere around 1957 by Enfield Industrial Engines - part of Royal Enfield (the same company that made the motorbikes), based in Redditch, UK.
