Emma DuBois is a multimedia artist specializing in needle felting. She's been felting since she was 12 years old when her mother gave her a kit for Christmas. Emma spent her teenage years experimenting and reading books about felting, and taking commissions for sculptures. She then attended the National theatre school of Canada for Set and Costume design, which helped inform her fusion of needle felting with clothing. She is inspired by her travels in Central, North America and Europe, as well as her time spent hiking and mountain climbing. In addition to felting, Emma sews, paints, writes poetry, throws pots and sculpts clay, and works with wood. She is also bilingual in French, and speaks some Spanish.
