Alpine Stitches is named after both the place I call home—rural, mountainous Switzerland—and the many forms of stitching I love: knitting, embroidery, and couture sewing. Rooted in the rich textile traditions of the Swiss Alps and inspired by the fine craftswomanship of my ancestors, Alpine Stitches offers regular classes as well as thoughtfully designed patterns and kits. My focus lies in intricate designs and advanced knitting techniques, drawing especially from the Shetlandic knitting traditions that captivate me with their technical complexity and artistry. Through this work, I aim to explore the creative possibilities of textile craft while helping preserve and pass on its valuable knowledge.
