Emily Friden is pursuing her doctorate (PhD) in environmental chemistry! As part of her research, she goes on scientific cruises for weeks at a time in order to collect water samples for her work.

She is also involved with GSA, the Graduate Student Association, to help graduates at SUNY ESF feel connected to each other and find support socially and academically.

Emily embodies the graduate student experience here at SUNY ESF!
