Emerge is a piece that has undergone many transformations. I originally wrote it as a Mazurka but found I liked the straight eighth notes in the melody line to sound much better. I have worked on this piece for a very long time not ever quite knowing how to end it but I have finally come to a conclusion that I am happy with. This song for me depicts the idea that for every melancholy day, there is always a silver lining from which we can emerge and find happiness.
