Located in the Boyne Valley in Ireland’s Ancient East, Emerald Park is the country’s only theme park and zoo and welcomes over 750,000 visitors each season. It has Ireland’s only flume ride, Viking Voyage, an 800-meter, 8-minute long ride with theming that nods to the region’s ancient history. With two turntables, two smaller drops (one of them backwards), and a steep 14-meter plunge into the water, the ride’s popularity is demonstrated by the length of the queue.
After operating for some years, the vehicles were looking to be replaced. WhiteWater provided a set of new 8-seat Super Flume boats that increased capacity and offered features that enhanced ride comfort for the guests, such as hydraulic lap bars, padded headrests that double as grab bars.
