Having been around for over two decades, Boomerango is an iconic attraction loved the world over.
That’s because it is a real wall ride, as only a flat wall can achieve a true zero G experience safely. Curved walls cannot achieve this, based on simple physics.
However, due to the variety of exit trajectories that may occur, a major limitation to the flat wall ride is the need to place it at the end of the ride, meaning immediately before the pool or shutdown lane.
Boomerango Squeeze, with its tapered exit path, overcomes this limitation. This version is designed for a 6-person family raft ride. As with all Boomerangos, the raft takes a steep drop where riders feel extreme Gs and then climbs up the giant, flat, near-vertical wall before gliding back down.
The wide slide path tapers (“squeezes”) over 85 feet (26 meters) to catch the raft and position it to enter the next feature, for example, a Giant AquaTube, a Constrictor, a Tailspin, or other combinations to make it an exciting fusion ride.
The zero G experience can now be anywhere along the ride instead of at the end. This innovation allows for:
1. Design flexibility
2. Varied ride experience
3. Adaptability to hilly terrain
