You probably played games like Megaman, Metroid, and Castlevania growing up. If so, then Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is the culmination of one man’s dream Metroidvania and it might be for you. The game has been known as the spiritual successor of Koji Igarashi’s Castlevania series. Saying this game hit the nail on the head is a massive understatement. It’s no surprise that both games were made by the same person. The game is beautifully smooth with reactive gameplay, not to mention a feeling of progress and constant achievement. Bloodstained has a great loot system and fantastic magic mechanics that remind me of some of my favorite games in the genre.

Welcome to the thrilling world of Dark Descent! Set 19 years after the original trilogy films, this real-time tactics video game will keep you on the edge of your seat. Join the action from a top-down perspective as you take command of a squad of four colonial marines, facing off against Xenomorphs and rogue agents from the Weyland-Yutani Corporation.
With five unique character classes, each armed with their own weapons and abilities, youll need to strategize and make split-second decisions. Upgrade and customize your marines between missions, ensuring their physical and mental health. This is definitely not typical for Activision as they have garnered quite the reputation for putting large price tags on their games. Call of Duty: Warzone seems to be a step into a better direction for gamers, and when it comes to gameplay, it does not disappoint in quality for its “price”.
