Why become a teacher? Elizabeth Resinos-Gonzalez, an Elementary Education student at Western Washington University, is preparing to support students who need opportunity, resources, and strong advocates in the classroom.
Inspired by her own experiences growing up, Elizabeth is working to become the kind of educator who helps students overcome barriers — including language access and limited resources — and feel confident in their ability to learn and succeed. At Western, future teachers gain hands-on experience and learn how to support diverse learners in real classrooms and communities.
