Every time I try PvP, the ship that gives me the most trouble is ALWAYS the same build. An engineered prismatic FDL using hitscan or plasmas. EVERY single time I go up against one of these things, I can't do anything to it...

Frontier is actively dumbing the game down with these modules. The Advanced Docking Computer (released with the September update) crossed a line for me. The absolutely pathetic state of the January Update finally influenced my decision. Frontier isnt taking their game seriously, so neither will I. Henceforth, I will be boycotting all Docking Computers. I have formed the Anti Docking Computer Initiative (ADCI) squadron to aggressively enforce this edict. These modules make a CMDR lazy, and take up an extra internal slot for absolutely no reason. Any ship flying with a docking computer is not taken seriously by any late-game CMDR, and to us, you are a heretic for using one.
We dont care what ship youre flying. We dont care how inexperienced you are. We dont care that you use the extra time to go to the kitchen, or play with your copawlet, or take a shit. If we catch you with a docking computer, you will be purged in holy fire.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Elite Dangerous shitposts. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of inter-factional drama, most of the jokes will go over a typical newbie cmdrs head. Theres also Edmond Mahons nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterization - his personal philosophy draws heavily from war crimes committed from 3287 to 3306, for instance. The 1000+ hour cmdrs understand this stuff; they have the shield capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that theyre not just funny- they say something deep about the adjudication server. As a consequence people who dislike Elite Dangerous truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldnt appreciate, for instance, the humour in Harry Potters existential catchphrase Salome has left the building, which itself is a cryptic reference to Drew Wagers English epic Premonition. Im smirking right now just imagining one of those freewinder noobs scratching their heads in confusion as David Brabens genius unfolds itself on their 4K triple monitors. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have an Aisling Duval tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. Its for the Borann Boys eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that theyre within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.")
