In October 2009 middle school students became teachers as classes of elementary kids visited. Together they made apple cider and checked out the tornado, fog ring generator, harmonograph, bicycle generator, water rockets, air rockets and old technology.
A few notes about the exhibits: Phil Rossoni has good instructions for understanding the basic elements needed to make the exhibit. instructables.com/id/This-Old-Tornado
I used 9 disc fountain fog generators for the tornado exhibit and the smoke ring generator. Once you know what youre looking for alpine4u.com/FG204LR.html you can search for a distributer. The smoke ring generator can be very simple. Our prototype was just a cardboard box with a hole in the side and a garbage bag taped on as the lid. I selected the permanent magnet generator for the bicycle as per pedalpowergenerator.com
Some of the other exhibits can be found at sciencetoymaker.org
