Doing electrical for the first time can be scary but it really comes down to one thing, turn off your electric before doing work. And then double check that it is off. I've definitely been shocked before and it was fun.
In this video I check and fix reverse polarity outlets so that my inspection will be fixed. I am using the Klein tools kit that works great and I wish I had them sooner.
