I traded my Toro gas-powered mower for a Kobalt electric battery-powered cordless lawnmower. Here's what I learned.

For a lawn my size, I love the Kobalt mower. It works well and has a motor that powers up in thicker grass and powers down in easier to cut grass. It's great that it starts at the push of a button, meaning my kids can do their chore to mow the lawn without me having to come pull the cord each time they need to start.

And, I love that I don't need to fill up with gas or change the oil. Since I also got an electric string trimmer and then a hedge trimmer, having multiple batteries is super helpful. Just change the battery out if I run low while mowing the lawn. My son used it for a lawn mowing job in the summer doing about a quarter acre lot.

I'd definitely get rid of my Toro in exchange for an electric mower.
