This was filmed in January of 2004.
After living with the curandero don Juan for only a couple of weeks, we took a boat across the Amazon river, hiked into the jungle, took a canoe across a swamp, hiked some more and then asked a local fisherman to catch a couple of electric eels. Four days later, the fisherman showed up at the house with two electric eels. They were for a treatment that I had done, but I also filmed it done to the patient it was intended for, to boost his immune system.
