The smoke has finally cleared since our last massive burnout, and we are ready to throw down some numbers on the dyno and give the Energica EGO RS a spin through Mexico.
First, Brock Davidson walks you through the process of setting up the Energica for the dyno with a secret handshake and a combination of button clicks like you're breaking code on your favorite video game! With one pull on the dyno, the Energica EGO RC instantly showed herself at 154 HP and 175 ft-lbs of torque! Brock then heads out to see how this electric bike rolls through Mexico, and before he can make it out of the parking lot, Brock is laughing. Which will be the theme for the rest of the video.
It's a strange feeling when there is no sound or the rumble of power between your legs. But then it gets surreal when you reach for the clutch and shift lever, but they aren't there. Brock's first impressions will definitely shock the HATERS of electric motorcycles. During Brock's ride, he talks about several performance issues to be addressed, but the bike is aggressive, and the acceleration is downright crazy! Without any noise, it's an instant go.
