Here we are gamers, the end of the no hit series, at least until dlc gets added. This boss is really hard to place, because it's both the best and the worst. Let me explain. Radagon is my favorite fight in the game, although he kicked my ass first playthrough and learning him for the no hit was extremely challenging. I hated him at that point because I could never get good. Well, eventually, it clicked. And guess what? Once you get the hang of him, he becomes extremely consistent and fun. I would play him for hours and not get bored because of how fun it is to dodge his attacks. It's an extremely learny fight, but it's the definition of skill based (fyi the fast lightning fails were both after a hammer slam into the ground).
Now then, Elden Beast. Just like Malenia, missed potential. It pains me to say this but design wise, it's a garbage fight. Invisible walls in what seems to be an infinite arena, attacks that are impossible to dodge without bloodhound's step, and extremely rng scenarios due to attack overlapping. When the halfway point came and he would cast elden stars (an extremely luck based attack by itself) he would always overlap it with other attacks, and sometimes you would get easy ones, other time it would be near impossible. Just why? What kind of boss design is this? An unfair fight is what it is, and it pissed me off to the very end.
Thank you to those who have watched the series all the way to the end, hope you enjoyed it. Completed on 7/11/2022.
