Remember how I made a progress video on this a little over a year ago? Well, I always finish what I start. Probably the last hard thing I do in this game for a while, I'm tired.
This level feels like a set of challenges combined, with each part being it's own challenge. Now with that said, they're all more or less easy and doable on their own, but when you try to combine them that's when the level becomes incredibly difficult. I heard everyone say that Aim and Omega are the hardest parts and all that and you can imagine my surprise when I found that not to be the case since they got consistent. You know what never got consistent? Yakob and Dz3ser, the two hardest parts imo, back to back. Even though I could do big runs, I could never get fully consistent at them. While Yakob's at least satisfying when you do his wave, Dz3ser has absolutely nothing going for him. It's just dogshit gameplay. Getting to 44 from 0 was one of the most inconsistent things I've ever had to do in this game, mainly because of those 2 parts. Also, Terron's wave is garbage.
While it's true that muscle memory is a factor in this level, saying that's all it takes to beat it is an extremely egotistical thing to say. I've heard it called free and overrated so much, but I'm just too tired to care about others flexing. So if calling extremes easy boosts your ego then feel free to keep doing that. As I said this gave me a really hard time and it's probably a sign that I just can't keep up with nowadays' tryhards. That's fine honestly, I knew it would come eventually, but it's still a little sad when I think about how it was back in the day. Just too many people beating these levels for them to be considered impressive achievements anymore. I appreciate the people who call me a good player, but in all honesty I'm just a mediocre one who has a lot of motivation to make up for the lack of skill and does so by overgrinding. I mean let's be real, the real reason why this game isn't as fun now is simply because levels take too long to beat. If I could beat a top 20 in a few days like the actually good players, then yeah this game would definitely be a blast to play. Thing is, grinding so much simply to account for the lack of skill is boring, and nothing being considered impressive anymore doesn't help either. Going back to CP, I simply beat it for myself so I have a clear conscience, that's all. Completed on November 20th, 2021.
