Elden Ring is a mile wide and a mile deep, and it doesn't hold your hand, so it's pretty easy to miss some items that are vital to your playthrough. Between fundamental items that enable basic gameplay mechanics, like using your map and summoning spirit ashes; and useful tools and weapons that'll give you a big damage boost, there's a lot of stuff that you really want to grab as soon as you start the game. This video will go over the locations of Elden Ring's most important items for new players, so that you can start your playthrough right.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
-Here's another protip that isn't an item but is something you should do: LEVEL YOUR VIGOR. YOU NEED VIGOR. MORE VIGOR = LESS DYING. Get 30 Vigor before you level ANY other stat up, and get 40 Vigor by the time you reach about level 60.
