El Manto Blanco es una joya del arte textil peruano procedente de la cultura Paracas. En este video visitamos El Museo de Arqueología y Antropología UNMSM – Lima, peru y darle una mirada detallada al Manto Blanco Paracas, adquirido por el renombrado arqueólogo Julio C. Tello y entregado a la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. El Manto Blanco Paracas fue recolectado por Tello en una de sus expediciones realizadas a Pisco, entre 1913 y 1920. Esta valiosa pieza forma parte de las primeras colecciones del museo. La técnica textil utilizada para su confección es el tejido llano 1x1 con bordes decorativos y flecos perimetrales, hecha a partir de algodón. La técnica decorativa se basa en el bordado de puntada atrás. Para ello utiliza hilos de colores previamente teñidos. El área decorada de la parte estructural de la pieza presenta diseños de personajes que portan cabezas trofeo o varas en las manos y están dispuestas en forma alternada, a fin de mantener una simetría horizontal, vertical y diagonal. Los diseños del borde presentan los mismos personajes, pero su disposición es de forma alineada y continua. La técnica decorativa se basa en el bordado de puntada atrás. Para ello utiliza hilos de colores previamente teñidos. la cultura paracas Usaron los colores verde, amarillo, rojo y negro. The White Mantle is a jewel of Peruvian textile art from the Paracas culture. In this video we visit the Museum of Archeology and Anthropology UNMSM – Lima, Peru and take a detailed look at the Paracas White Mantle which was acquired by renowned archaeologist Julio C. Tello and delivered to the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. The Paracas White Mantle was collected by Tello on one of his expeditions to Pisco, between 1913 and 1920. This valuable piece is part of the museum's early collections. The textile technique used for its preparation is the plain 1x1 fabric with decorative edges and perimeter fringes, made from cotton. The decorative technique is based on back stitch embroidery. To do this, use previously dyed colored threads. The decorated area of ​​the structural part of the piece presents designs of characters that carry trophy heads or sticks in their hands and are arranged alternately, in order to maintain horizontal, vertical and diagonal symmetry. The border designs present the same characters, but their arrangement is aligned and continuous. The decorative technique is based on back stitch embroidery. To do this, use previously dyed colored threads. the paracas culture used the colors green, yellow, red and black. Designs of mythological beings represented in textiles from Paracas Caverns.
