After watching this video you will know more about what to consider when selecting a monitor for video editing.

One important aspect is screen size, and while 24” seems to be most common, bigger 27” and 32” inch display gain in popularity.

This is understandable, especially because when editing video you need more space once your projects grow in complexity.

Using the timeline you navigate trough your footage, make cuts, add effects, text elements, side cards, picture overlays and sometimes multiple audio elements.

The timeline space can become very crowded over time the more elements you add.

Another important aspect is color, while for the beginner it may not seem that important at first, the more videos you make, the more you will notice how important color can be.

Eizo offers the basic FlexScan line and for more professional commercial users the ColorEdge line.

It is my understanding that the first mostly supports the normal Rec 709 color space, while the pricier models have more color profiles, better black accuracy, and support a wider color gamut.

For me, the normal FlexScan line is all I need right now, and the expensive ColorEdge models are probably outside the budget for many people.

Overall I think the FlexScan monitors are amazing, however, I found the 32” Inch is a little too big for me.

I honestly think that for most people the sweet spot should be a 27” inch monitor, and it doesn't necessarily have to be 4K in my opinion.

Some models have the in-between WQHD resolution, which should work fine for many people as well.
