The Eiyuden Chronicle series is finally here. A few years ago, the Kickstarter of my dreams appeared. A brand-new IP from the makers of my favorite, Suikoden series. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes had no problems with raising its required funds. In fact, it go there in no time at all smashing loads of stretch goals in the process. One such stretch goal was a companion game. That game is Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is a taster. It’s that tasty appetizer that you’re given before the best five course meal you’ve ever consumed in your life…. hopefully. It is not an expansive JRPG experience, full of hundreds of memorable characters, deep lore and an unforgettable story. It is instead, hopefully setting us up, for just that. Rising is like a pre-side quest to next years; Hundred Heroes.

As half the world has just been consumed with the 2022 FIFA world cup, what better time to release a sports RPG focused on Soccer! There’s something about sports RPGs that really appeal to me. I haven’t played too many games in this niche genre, but I’m always keen to jump aboard when they do pop up.
As the name suggests, Soccer Story tells a story, about soccer. You’ll spend time completing quests around town, to increase your stats, then compete against other teams in a retro soccer style game. Is Soccer Story worth playing? Watch this review and find out!

Persona 3 is a title that I’ve never got around to playing, despite it collecting dust on my shelf for years. This is surprising, since I love the Shin Megami Tensei series, and lets face it; Persona 5 is insanely good!

Biomutant was a long time coming. The first footage of this game grabbed my attention all the way back in 2017, and since then, I’ve been looking forward to jumping into the shoes of a furry little creature and exploring this beautiful looking open world.
Biomutant was developed by a small independent studio named Experiment 101, with a team of only 20 people, and even though the game has been in development for years, what this small team was able to do is pretty amazing. Watch this review to see what Biomutant is all about!

The JRPG genre has been evolving for around 40 years now. It has seen its share of ups and downs, but right now, its arguably in the best place that it has ever been. Since the early 80s, we’ve seen the releases of 1000s of JRPGs, or JRPG style titles, from hundreds of different developers, but it goes without saying that not all of them are created equally.
This series is going to look at the very best JRPGs ever made, or at least, my favorite. This is my personal top 100 JRPGs of all time! Sometimes, I like to take a break from my regular JRPG gaming habits and venture into the realm of Western RPGs. When I get into a good one, I often find myself absolutely glued to the screen, more so than most other genres.
And this is exactly what happened when playing Avowed. This game was developed by Obsidian Entertainment who are huge players in the WRPG and CRPG scene, releasing many powerhouse titles including Knights of the Old Republic, Fallout New Vegas and Pillars of Eternity.
To sum up Avowed in a few words; it is the dictionary definition of WRPG.
Is gives you absolutely everything you would expect from the genre, without ever going above and beyond in any single area.
And a big thanks to the publishers for the review code, and all footage that you see is from the STEAM version of the game.
