Eirtae was one of Queen Amidala’s handmaidens who was known as a scientist, engineer, and artist. She escaped Naboo during its invasion, traveling to Tatooine and Coruscant, and fighting to liberate her people upon her return. When Padme’s time as queen came to an end, Eirtae traveled to Otoh Gunga to study Gungan art and science. When Sabe began investigating the mysterious death of their former queen, Eirtae joined the Amidalans, honoring Padme and eventually fighting against the Empire and Darth Vader himself. She and the other handmaidens fought to protect Padme’s tomb, and later protected Sabe as she began inexplicably working with the Sith Lord, who she had learned was secretly Anakin Skywalker.
