Many people are inspired by the ideas of systems thinking and wish to apply them in their work or project, yet the challenge arises when communicating to others exactly what systems thinking is, why it can be of value within an organisation or team, and how to apply it.
The ideas can seem abstract to people, and it can be difficult to communicate them clearly and in a relevant way, so that people can see the value of systems approaches in their everyday work and the organisation.
In this event, we seek to support you in developing your ability to communicate effectively what systems thinking is and its core value proposition for organisations, and to craft compelling narratives for systems change.
What will happen
In this co-creation workshop, we will share the contents of our guide to effective communication for systems thinkers and systems changers - coming soon. You will hear short presentations on the three main topics, then go into breakout rooms with your peers to practice your communication skills in systems thinking.
By the end of the event, you should be better equipped with the language and strategies to begin introducing both systems thinking and systems change ideas to your work colleagues or clients, while also becoming clearer about the value they can deliver.
Who is it for
The event should be relevant for anyone working in or with an organisation who wishes to discuss the ideas with their colleagues. It will also be relevant to consultants who have clients they wish to introduce to the approaches. The event will also be for those who generally aspire to be able to communicate what systems thinking is a more accessible and relevant way.
Where/when
This event will take place online using Zoom and a Miro board; the Si London hub hosts it. The event will take place on April 2nd at 5:30 pm CET.
