Education or Ultimatum? — Does the Consumer Really Want to Learn About Agriculture?

Too often, "education" becomes little more than explaining why we do things the way we do—and expecting consumers to accept it. That's not always education, and it certainly isn't persuasion.

I also ask a tougher question: Is it really a farmer's job to educate the public? And perhaps the biggest question of all: Does the average consumer even care as much about how food is produced as we think they should?
