We’ve gone from 6.8 million farms in the 1930s to about 1.8 million today. We farm with a fraction of the labor we once did — and we produce more food than ever. That’s not collapse. That’s productivity.

Yes, farmers are aging. Yes, some kids don’t want to come back. But let’s quit pretending that means America won’t get fed. The real issue isn’t demographic doom — it’s whether your farm is structured as a viable business or just a lifestyle with sentimental value.
