Edinburgh Zoo re-opening day!
Yesterday the zoo officially reopened it's doors in Scotland and I went along to find out about new safety measures in place as well as to visit the animals I've missed (and who have missed the attention from us too!).
Join me, Deb, as I take a walk around Edinburgh Zoo on it's first day of reopening. Though the weather was typically Scottish Summertime it didn't dampen my spirits as I ventured out of my house properly for the first time since I returned to Scotland in April. It was great to get out and experience Scotland reopening!
I just want to stay, I have been wearing a mask and will continue wearing a face mask in more crowded places with more and more businesses scheduled to reopen over the coming weeks across the country, however, today I didn't feel the need to put mine one due to no one but my mum actually being anywhere near us. Edinburgh Zoo have limited their capacity to 500 guests a day, however, due to the weather and the first week of opening I believe a lot stayed away or visited early morning to leave us with a very quiet day. It was almost like the zoo opened just for us! I will return during a warmer week to see how the social distancing and safety measures continue to be carried out.
