Watch this testimonial with Romain FouchΓ© and Anthony Rampello as they explain how nuclear inspection drones are improving the safety of inspections in nuclear power plants by reducing work at height and improving the speed of execution. The use of the Elios 3 drone also allows the EDF nuclear plant to save money and internalize the inspection process.

Sending an inspection team to assess the conditions of an asset is not only dangerous but also time-consuming and expensive. Using a nuclear inspection drone will allow you to avoid unnecessary human exposure to radiation, improve decision-making, and reduce inspection time and cost.

With the Elios 3, EDF can collect visual, LiDAR, and radiometric data, and perform thickness measurements (UT) in complex confined spaces, without exposing humans to radiation or requiring complex structures such as scaffolding. UTM, or ultrasonic thickness measurement, allows for a precise evaluation of the condition of critical materials like reactor vessels, pipes, and other metallic structures. This technology helps detect anomalies, such as corrosion or cracks, before they become major issues, thus ensuring the safety and reliability of nuclear installations.

The RAD Payload, developed in collaboration with Mirion Technologies, allows you to accurately estimate the current and cumulative dose exposure a person would face in every corner of your asset and thanks to the high-quality data collected by the drone you can understand if there is a need to intervene and exactly where and how to act. The Elios 3 was successfully tested in 10,000 R/h conditions and all its components continued to function perfectly after an accumulated dose of approximately 4,000 R.

Trusted by over 80% of nuclear power plants in the US, the Elios was a game changer for the nuclear industry across the globe. Revolutionize your power plant with nuclear inspection drones.
